In November 2008, Original Penguin opened up its flagship UK store. Situated in the heart of Covent Garden, it’s a reincarnation of the post-war Americana culture Munsingwear’s Original Penguin had been at the heart of.

Subtlety and simplicity course through the decor, and indeed the clothes – rosewood sits starkly against the chrome fittings and mid-century furnishings, framed perfectly by the bespoke wallpaper, illuminated by the statement vintage lighting.

Since its debut in 2003, Original Penguin has been synonymous with producing clean cut, traditional menswear – proud to be a staple part of the British man’s wardrobe. The flagship store houses every part of Original Penguin’s collection – from menswear, to accessories and women and children’s wear.
