Fear of Men
With pleasant streams of woozy indie-pop that at times resembles The Dum Dum Girls and at others a stripped down Summer Camp, part-London / part-Brighton based quartet Fear Of Men have been fast establishing themselves as one of the most talked about new bands in the south of England.

Civil Civic
Ben and Aaron are the two members of Civil Civic... along with their trusty drum machine. Their demo of 'Less and Less' was 'Favourited' enough to hit the top spot of the Hype Machine.

The Social Club
There's nothing like a beautiful punk rock accident. So when Lew from seminal UK pop punk heroes Captain Everything fell into Tom Mitchener's (Spy Catcher, Haunts) studio only to find himself having recorded a smash hit song - the fact that he soon found himself in a band with members of Fireapple Red, The Remnants and Wartgore Hellsnicker seemed something rather too good to waste. They wrote some killer tunes, took to the road again and the kids still cared, so they continued... Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Social Club!

Howler
Some people would paint 2011 as the year Indie based Guitar rock largely sat on its arse and did little; yet in 2012 Minneapolis trio Howler have arrived on UK shores pegged as 'America's next big guitar hopes'. With a keen passion to reverse its fortunes with a sound that is a radio friendly mixture of The Strokes and The Vaccines, it's little wonder that there recently released debut album 'America Give Up' has been winning high plaudits already.

New York-based singer-songwriter Devin released his debut EP, 'You're Mine', on Frenchkiss Records, at the tail-end of 2011 and is fast becoming the 'hot thing' of 2012. He'll soon be playing his debut UK shows, including his first ever London show at the intimate Shacklewell Arms on 28 February. www.devinmusic.com
The Penelopes
With a background in rock, dream-pop and psychedelia, the pair are keen to distance themselves from the Gallic electronica that has seen France make a significant mark on global pop culture in recent years. Raised in the Parisian suburbs on a diet of British post-punk and indie, Basquiat and best friend Vincent T deliver sun-kissed electro-pop that belies the dour greyness of their hometown.
